Sanna and Ayushma have spent countless hours discussing life, relationships and a shared passion for making a difference in this world through human connections. We truly believe that everyone can find their ideal match - people who have shared values, belief systems and love/fight languages. We want to build a community, a safe space for South Asian Singles to connect and have fun at the same time!
Where it all began…
Sanna Monga
My love life always seemed to take a backseat. Why you may ask? Because my career always came first. That doesn’t mean I didn’t have my set of heartbreaks and relationships, there were plenty, but building my life always came first. Having grown up in Dubai most of my life, and then moving countries twice (UK and then Canada), life wasn’t too kind as an immigrant. And while my personal life went through major ups and downs, my career progressed decently. Today, I look around me, see younger women, and remind me of how I viewed my life. Would I go back and do some things differently? Yes, but no regrets. The person I am today, is in a much better place, who knows exactly what she wants and will find her own fairytale in this concrete (very cold) jungle. I’m excited to share this journey with Ayushma who also believes in bringing great people together. And we’re excited to share Woo Me with all of you. Stay tuned!
Ayushma Thapa
Having grown up in Nepal and moving to the US and then to Canada, my focus was primarily on my career but who am I kidding, obviously finding someone for life was on the agenda. Whilst balancing my career and immigrant life, I dove into my search for finding a potential partner since as a South Asian women, after a certain “age” I was also expected to find someone and settle down. With the help of modern dating apps, I went through the motions of “swiping”, “talking”, “ghosting” and if I was lucky “dating” but traditional dating methods and dating apps have continued to fall short in creating lasting and fulfilling relationships. After my set of heartbreaks and healing, I realized that most of us are going through the same thing and ask “where are the good people”. With this realization, I wanted to create a space that would transform the way people connect and navigate these challenges. This vision came to light when I met Sanna and Woo Me was born.
